Nestled in the heart of eastern NC between Raleigh and the coast, we are a destination with rich culture and heritage. Our heritage has deep military and agricultural roots. And, let’s not forget to mention our legendary BBQ! We sum up ourselves with 3 Ps: pigs, pickles, and planes!

We are the proud home to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, one of the best (and oldest!) fighter communities in the world, Mt. Olive Pickle Company, Cliffs of the Neuse State Park, award-winning historic downtown, NC Pickle Festival and Wings Over Wayne Air Show (NC’s largest free air show).

Our county is located on the NC Barbeque Society Historic Trail and the Mountains To Sea Trail, which is the perfect blend. Because after you eat the best BBQ of your life and wash it down with sweet tea or craft beer, you’re going to thank us for having a way to burn it all off!

This home was perfect and I for my family visiting the Goldsboro area. Very convenient to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and to downtown Goldsboro. The laughing owl is a great place to eat during your stay. Ms Delphine and her daughter were awesome hosts and gave us an in-depth tour of the home and all it has to offer.
